Overview

Buying a home can be a stressful process if you are unaware of the many steps, fees and deadlines it entails. This solution created in Articulate Storyline 360 aims at delivering the important information without being overbearing to the learner. Its scope ranges from “Saving” to “Moving in”, following the best practices of buying property in the state of Hawaii.

The challenge

Initially, the realtor client had a pdf file that can be seen here.

Because of the large amount of information in a single document, the client realized its effectiveness was less than desirable. Client would miss deadlines or be ‘blindsided’ by the amount of fees due because they never got to read the entire document.

Presented with the opportunity to improve their retention with an interactive experience, the client asked for the textual content and visual identity of the guide to remain intact. It was also important for them to incorporate images of the island of Oahu, so that buyers could be reminded of the paradise they were investing their money in.

Solution

Because we were tied to a set textual content and learners wouldn’t need that information often, we decided to create an interactive solution that was straight forward - an enhancement to their reading experience.

The interactive journey was interspersed with elements that would break monotony and check acquired knowledge while being relatable.

Due to the surprising symmetry of the content, we opted for creating a build-up to an intuitive tab interaction experience.

 Client’s testimonial

“Ric did an amazing job with my interactive buyer's guide. I am a real estate agent and he was my client who was a first time home buyer in the US. He presented me with the need to make the buyer's guide a little bit easier to absorb for other first time home buyers. So, he created this awesome solution. He utilized my brand colors and fonts throughout the guide. I did not provide a lot of guidance on how I wanted the project to look, but Ric was able to use his creativity to create a beautiful interactive guide. I highly recommend him for all of your interactive projects.” Lakia Baucom
